AWARDS PARTY SEPTEMBER 6, 2008.

This is your wake up call for the Grand Finale of the Wednesday Night Race Series scheduled on Saturday, September 6th.   Check your NOR and SIs.   We hope for a great day of racing and follow it up with our annual Awards Party.

We are pleased to announce the Awards Party will be at Groton Elks Lodge at 700 Shennecossett Boulevard starting at 1755.   Beer, wine, soda and a full on barbeque of burgers, dogs and chicken will be served up.  And the awards will be handed out for the Wednesday Night Racing Series. The party will follow the racing and we anticipate the RC trying for two races to make up the one lost race from the Summer series.  In the end, we would like to count 12 of 15 races for the overall championships for each class.

Some skippers are concerned about getting crew for a weekend race in September.  To help those who need crew, we are asking both sailors and skippers to let us know of your availability and your needs by emaiing the Race Committee at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. In the meantime, on Saturday, September 6th, we will fire the first warning at 1255.
