Even God can't hit a one iron!  Of course, not too many folks have one irons anymore.
I don't think the heavy stuff will come down for awhile.  And when will that awhile get here?

We could have used some Earl last night!

Hurricane Earl will be within 100 to 150 miles S to SE of us sometime tomorrow afternoon and is expected to deliver Tropical Storm winds and rain as it passes through the night.   Warnings and watches are posted along the Eastern Seaboard and, despite the possibility that it will miss us completely, or not start raining until evening, there is also the possibility the entire day will be wet and windy.   

Bang!  Bang!  The AP is up.

THE MUDHEAD 5TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH.   TEE OFF AT 1 PM AT PEQUOT GOLF CLUB.

Having said that, as of now, the golf course will be open and a few of us will be on hand to play some golf.   Come join us and bring your clubs for an unofficial hurricane happening.   Consider it a warm up for next week.    Please pass the word.
