The Mystic River Mudhead Racing Association and Hospice Southeastern Connecticut will host its third annual rum tasting on May 6 at Mystic Arts Center from 6 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome.

This year's featured rums include spirits from Mount Gay, Goslings, Plantation, Ragged Mountain and Cruzan.

Proceeds from this event benefit Hospice Southeastern Connecticut, a nonprofit community-based organization that has been providing end-of-life care since 1985.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased through Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut by calling 860-848-5699.

Raffle items, food, live music and rum tastings are included in the ticket price. Cash bar available, beer and wine, as well.
