13 boats set out on Friday evening in the 1st Annual Mudnight Madness Overnight.  Kaizen, Looney Tunes and Quantum Leap mixed decent breeze and a clockwise rounding of Block Islalnd to take class honors. 

Kaizen, Moise Solomon's Mumm 30  was first to finish just before 4 am Saturday, traveling the 65 mile course in less than 10 hours and saving her time.  Looney Tunes finished just after 6 am to take the win for boats with PHRF over 100.  Mudhead Commodore Pat Dillon won the two handed class in Quantum Leap finishing just after 6:30 am.  Initial reports indicate the clockwise rounding of Block paid off because the reaching angle to 1 BI proved faster than the broader angle to the SW corner where the seas were lumpy and the current turned earlier.   The Prize Giving is scheduled for Wednesday night at the WNRS mid season party at Noank Village Boatyard.  All Mudheads and their guests are invited.
