A recent shift in one design sailing has been toward the "20 ft Sportboats". A few Mudheads have recently bought Viper 640 designs (you may have seen Dave Nickerson's Viper out on Wed night) and they are really fun boats. So, if you want to experience what this Viper thing is really all about, and you’re around this Saturday, a few owners have offered to take you Viper sailing!
Here’s the plan: Who: Folks interested in the Viper and who might help in building a fleet Where: SHYC Sailing Foundation’s Sailing Center, 70-72 Water Street, Stonington, Ct Local parking is available (might move just south to the Commons docks if the SF docks are late going in) When: Sat. June 6th. 10:00 until 2:00 (Laser frostbiters come early) Wear: Dress for dingy sailing or small keelboats, bring a lifejacket Do: Please let Bill or Dave know via email (see below) by the end of Thursday if you expect to join them and approximately when on Saturday you’ll be there. There is some effort pulling all of this together and they are happy to do it, but if not enough can make this date, or you can't make it, feel free to contact them. They have offered to make These boats are some serious fun! Come check it out. |
